DAY 1
Nairobi National Park, David Scheldricks, Giraffe Center, Karen Blixen Museum and Kazuri beads
Pick up from your hotel in Nairobi at 06:30hrs. Depart for Nairobi National Park. This unique wildlife sanctuary is just a few kilometers from Nairobi’s bustling city centre. Amazingly, with its close proximity to the city, different species of mammals can be found here, including four of the Big Five - Lions, Rhino, Leopard and Buffalos.
At around 10:00am you will drive out of the park and head to David Sheldrack Wildlife Trust in time for the baby elephant feeding time.
Later, enjoy a sumptuous meal at Tamambo Karen Blixen Coffee garden or any other of the restaurants around Karen area.
After lunch, visit the Karen Blixen Museum which was once the center piece of a farm at the foot of the Ngong Hills owned by Danish Author Karen and her Swedish Husband, Baron Bror von Blixen Fincke. The farm house gained international fame with the release of the movie ‘Out of Africa’ an Oscar-winning film based on Karen’s an autobiography by the same title.
Later proceed to the Giraffe Center home of the famous Rothschild Giraffe with a stop at the Kazuri Beads for souvenir shopping.
Dropped off at your hotel or airport.
